When devastating news such as the recent shooting in Texas occurs we can drown in disbelief and sadness. Make a conscious effort to create a "happiness bubble" to protect yourself from empathy fatigue.


  • Control the Content you Consume

    • Just 3 minutes of negative news can affect your mood and anxiety for 8 hours.

    • Instead watch transformative news - solution focused - your mood will improve by as much as 88%. Isn’t it time to have a good day?!


  • Reduce Time on Social Media

    • Too much time on social media can lead to depression and anger.

    • By reducing your time on social media or unplugging for several days each week, your overall productivity will increase, you will feel more contented with yourself and this will make you happier.


  • Manage your Energy

    • When we enter the state of empathy fatigue we feel dragged down, hopeless.

    • Instead focus your time on listening to music that lifts your mood or movies that inspire you; read books that give you energy. (Think of the Rocky theme music )
